Antigua is, perhaps, Guatemala’s best-known coffee growing region. Characteristic of the region are rich volcanic soil, low humidity, lots of sun and cool nights.
Mineral-rich ash and volcanic pumice in the soil originates from the surrounding three volcanoes: Agua, Fuego, and Acatenango.
